In 'De puinhopen van Irak', the Dutch-Palestinian Sakir Khader (1990), accompanied by his friend and field producer Mohamed Rasool, travels half a year in Iraq. In places where the dust of four generations of war is slowly settling, Sakir speaks as a camjo director with the Iraqis who are left behind. How are their lives going now that the IS caliphate has fallen and the danger seems to have passed?
